It's December 1 and some of my friends who have finished their gift buying are beginning to make me feel a little guilty! I'm pretty much on top of the shopping but I have a few small items I still want to get to tuck into stockings and for Christmas Eve when the excitement of holiday is getting really intense. That is when I really rely on books as nice gifts.
This little book by Leona Dalrymple has a perfect vintage feel and wonderful characters. It is considered to be one of the best Christmas stories of the 20th Century and is exactly what I'd want to have when I'm sitting with a cup of tea and a soft blanket by the Christmas Tree.
